Love Ruined

Oh my darling, your love is ruined!
Your flaming desires
Driven by the screaming thunders,
And the darkest fires,

Have selfishly poisoned
My lovelorn heart,
Keeping us together
By holding us apart.

(After William Blake's "The Sick Rose")

The Word Friendship

The word friendship is priceless

refreshing and impressive, luxury of
mutual love, and savoring protection

full in the soul and feeling
like feather

tolerant skin
hurt, wounded, provoked into
trust, and loyalty

giving
and taking, smile and hug
of affection.

Maria Karl. (after The Word Plum by Helen Chasin)

You Kill Time

You kill time. You
Like crime. You

Have a gun. You
Fight none. You

Eat bread. You
Stay dead. You

Make Love. You
Rise Above.

Eyes Of A Sorcerer

                                      Eyes;
                            Speak to me
                     Calm my frenzy heart
Bring joy to an empty fountain
Call for rain to cleanse our tainted years
                              Content
                            May you be

Not Leaving But Waiting (After Stevie Smith's "Not Waving But Drowning")

I was wrong, I know.
It was all my mistake.
But I was there, I am still there.
And not leaving but waiting.

Waiting for an excuse.
Waiting for a hug, a kiss, a smile.
"Don't you worry, everything is ok."
That was all I was waiting to hear.

I could not let you go away,
Because I love you so much.
That is why I am here.
And not leaving but waiting.

Devoted to my boyfriend

TOUCH ART

What happens when we touch art?

Do we plunge into its abyss
And get consumed?
Do we get trapped in its maze,
End up confused?
Do we taste our newfound freedom
And find release?
Do we nourish our wisdom
And watch our souls cry?

Or do we touch the sky?

Good Morning

I ate the peaches
we need 10 more!
Do you remember the beaches
where we found love?

I booked the tickets for the island
you should sign the check
You are my skylark!
Oh, don't forget to feed the bird

~Xenitidou Panagiota

This is just to say

I bought the red dress you wanted,
Yes, the one with the plunging neck and the feathers
-that would make him come crawling back to you-
Forgive me darling
but it looked much better on me.

Dear love

My dear husband, I woke up for work but,
I realised that I wasn't in the mood so, I
will go for coffee.

You have to wash the dishes,
to do the ironing and to make breakfast for the kids
because I forgot them.

      Probably, you will make the
lunch, too, as I will go for shopping therapy!

       I love you, your kitty.
